How do your T-shirts evangelize differently than other brands?

Our designs are intended to intrigue a random person into asking questions about the art you're wearing. That gives you a chance to explain the testimony of what Christ did, and to evangelize, so they may know that the same freedom and cleansing from sin is available to anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

We don't care how our shirts sell. We care that they bring salvation, and if they can't bring salvation, we beg Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life, the only way to God the Father, that not one leaves our hands. Because if it's not for the glory of God, we want no part in this.

We've witnessed people ask about our designs over and over when we made prototypes, and to say we felt we could evangelize this way is an understatement. We pray that God uses our art to lead people into salvation.

What makes our business different than other Christian clothing brands in the space?

This is a clothing company that seeks to fulfill Revelation 19:10.

“Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, ‘You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.’ For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10, ESV

We use visions that are discerned and tested, and that come into agreement with Scripture in context: testimonies of breakthroughs that have already happened. These may be visions God has given us to share the testimony of what God has already done, not what we believe he will do, or hope he will do, but true, factual visions that lead us to becoming more Christlike.

“And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them. And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.” Matthew 4:23-25, ESV

We want to make Jesus revered, and we want to make him a constant conversation in our lives. We want to be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves, and one way we do that is by using testimonies to show that our God is still saving, still changing hearts, and still producing a faith that produces good works in us: a true faith. We will not put visions on shirts unless we believe God has confirmed it in context with Scripture.

What is the goal of Divine Threads?

The goal is not to make sales, to make a viral tee, to have people think our brand is cool, or anything like that.

In Scripture we see the Great Commission, which we believe Christ has called us to in one way or another.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20, ESV

We believe we are called to be a light of holiness in a world full of perverse sin. We don't care how relevant God is if we aren't reverent toward him. We believe that if there are testimonies of God that are true, they will raise our fear of him, letting us be better lights of Christ in a sinful world. We believe we can be a display to the world, using Scripture and testimonies, that God is willing to save any soul that will accept Jesus Christ as their savior, confess their sins, and live a life devoted to honoring the cross in obedience, out of our love for Christ, and that by his grace we may be changed.

How will a shirt become something that actually leads to salvations? And how is yours any different than the other clothing brands doing the same thing?

So many clothing brands have things like “tap my shoulder for prayer,” or the most basic, low-effort material, just to slap God on whatever they can so they can charge Christians more for low-effort, sometimes even disrespectfully AI-generated, tees that give answers to no one who's honestly asking.

You can put a verse on anything you want. Just because you mention Jesus in something doesn't mean it's a good thing. Are we not children of the only God by salvation? Then why is the creative field so weak for Christians? What excuse do we have before the God whom every knee will bow to and every tongue will confess?

Does Divine Threads use AI art at all?

We firmly believe that in a space where we seek to please God, and our intention is to serve the kingdom to see salvations for the glory of God no matter what that looks like for us, we not only do not use AI art, but believe it would be a sin and an abomination to God himself if we did. We are firm on this and will not change, because of what we see in Scripture.

While we believe that AI can be used to further a mission in a helpful manner, it should not be the creator, or main worker.

We believe God has called us to create. We find this in Genesis 1:26-28. Since we are created in the image of God, we are called to create things for God's glory.

We see in Genesis 4 that the difference between Cain and Abel's sacrifice is that when Abel offered a sacrifice, he offered it with a heart seeking to please God. Cain offered his out of dead religion, in the sense of just doing it to do it, not out of love or care for God. There was a difference in the heart behind their sacrifices, and God, being just and right, rejected Cain's offering as a result.

So when we make art that we seek to honor God with, we put in all the work we can to offer what God has shown us by his grace. Whether it takes hours, minutes, or years, or costs real money, we will always use artists who share the same desire for faith that we do, and the same desire to see the one true, living God glorified. We also see that when David was buying the land to build Solomon's temple, he bought it at full price.

Do you think you would care about the Psalms as much if the Psalmists had used AI to generate them? We believe we would be offering a “Cain” sacrifice if we used AI art on something meant to please and honor God. When we use AI art, we skip the effort and time it takes to create it in a meaningful way.
